My second appointment with Mr Umapathy, the first being in December. During both appointments, he was calm, caring and reassuring, I was enormously grateful for the relief gained by the treatment given.

Mr Umapathy always delivers a warm welcoming professional appointment.

My 6yr old daughter had grommets inserted and he has looked after her ongoing care in a professional manner well above most consultants have in the past. It has at times been complex with her needs and Mr Umapathy has gone above and beyond.

He is excellent with children and achieving their care without them being concerned. Our daughter has additional needs and he has been able to get her to corporate to get the treatment done. Wouldn’t want my daughters ENT needs to be driven by anyone else than Mr Umapathy and his lovely team.

I visited Dr Umapathy last night for a consultation. I was made to feel relaxed and comfortable and everything was explained clearly to me. There was opportunities to ask any questions and I was also told I was able to get back in touch if I thought of anything else I wanted to ask after I had left. This was really helpful as sometimes it’s only when you leave that you think of something you should have asked.

Dr Umapathy provided an excellent level of care during my visit. He welcomed me with a warm smile and took the time to listen carefully to all my concerns, noting everything down thoroughly. He then performed a nasendoscopy, and although I was initially nervous, he reassured me that the procedure would not be painful.

To my relief, it was completed within minutes, and he clearly explained everything visible on the screen, helping me understand what was happening in my throat. It was genuinely fascinating and reassuring to see everything so clearly.

Overall, Dr Umapathy was professional, gentle, and incredibly reassuring — I felt very well looked after. Highly recommended.

After 2 biopsy’s on a nodule on my thyroid I still had no answers and it was a worry if it may be something waiting to happen! It was time to get it removed. Mr Umapathy was honest and direct, caring, kind and helpful. The operation was a great success!

We contacted Mr Umapathy (Neel) for a second opinion for my teenage son’s ear as he’d had repeated infections, discomfort and pain. Unfortunately before we got to the appointment my son’s condition deteriorated to the extent we were admitted to Children’s Ward. However, when we met Neel he was incredibly helpful and listened to my son’s concerns. My son’s issue is now resolved and we are receiving follow up care from Neel. I would definitely recommend seeking a second opinion in any situation where you are concerned, and I am very happy we found Neel, as is my teenager who felt he was listened to, and his concerns addressed.

I went to see Dr Umapathy privately for some issue I was having with nasal congestion and breathing due to an old injury. From my initial consultation I was advised that surgery was the best option after trying to manage the symptoms for over 2 years with no success. Within 6 weeks I was booked in for Surgery at the Spire in the Wirral to have septoplasty. I was quite anxious not having surgery before but the whole process was seamless, the nurses were very attentive at the hospital and Dr Umapathy explained everything in detail in terms of what to expect pre and post Op. I am only 2 and a half weeks post on and I can honestly say it improved my quality of life in so many ways. I can already breathe through my nose and all the congestion and nasal discomfort has gone. My sleep is better, my snoring has reduced significantly (and still another 2-3 weeks until I am fully healed). I attended my post Op consultation today and my airways are so clear and healing well. Thank you for your help, you really have improved my quality of my life… I cannot recommend enough booking yourself in for an appointment if you having issues with breathing, nasal congestion or snoring!

Very helpful and informative – explained the issues and why I was experiencing symptoms as well as possible solutions, chances of success and risks involved in surgery. Didn’t feel rushed – would definitely recommend to others.
